make和let這兩個(gè)英語單詞都有“讓;使”含義，但是在使用的過程中，它們還是存在一些區(qū)別的，這些的區(qū)別主要表現(xiàn)在以下兩個(gè)方面。

　　一、句式結(jié)構(gòu)

　　make 和 let 都有“讓;使”的意思，表達(dá)“讓某人做某事”這個(gè)結(jié)構(gòu)：make/let sb. do sth.，即加不帶to的不定式(也就是動(dòng)詞原形)。但make sb. do sth. 的被動(dòng)形式需要加to：sb. be made to do sth.

　　例如：

　　The actor makes everyone laugh.

　　Everyone is made to laugh (by the actor).

　　而let沒有這種用法。

　　二、內(nèi)涵

　　Let sb. do sth.: to give someone permission to do something, or allow someone to do something.

　　涵義：允許某人做某事。意思是這件事是你想去做的。

　　make sb. do sth.: to oblige someone to do something; they have no choice and they have to do it.

　　涵義：責(zé)令/迫使某人做某事。意思是這件事你本來不想去做，但沒辦法不得不去做。

　　That is:

　　Someone lets you do something = You want to do it.

　　Someone makes you do something.= You don’t want to do it but you have no choice. You have to do it.

　　Examples:

　　My mother lets me have 90 minutes for watching TV.

　　我媽媽允許我看90分鐘的電視。

　　My mother lets me play the computer games.

　　我媽媽允許我玩電腦游戲。

　　My mother lets me get up late on Saturday.

　　我媽媽允許我周六晚起床。(中國好媽媽~)

　　My boss makes me work at the weekend.

　　我的老板讓我周末工作。

　　My boss makes me clean his office.

　　我的老板讓我打掃他的辦公室。

　　My boss makes me wait for him to finish work.

　　我的老板讓我等他直到完成工作。(萬惡的boss~)
